Updated: 8:22 PM EDT Apr 29, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff A 3-year-old child was airlifted to a hospital after being hit by a car in Randolph County Thursday.Deputies responded to a residence on Miles Moffitt Road at about 3:30 p.m. A child was accidentally hit while an inexperienced person was moving a vehicle in the yard, deputies said. The vehicle hit the child and eventually came to a stop after hitting the home, causing structural damage.The child was taken to an area hospital by air for evaluation, deputies said. Their condition is unclear at this time.

When Menlo Park police responded, they saw the suspected robber still in the area in a parked car with another person. The two suspects fled from police, driving east over the Dumbarton Bridge.
The officers pursued them over the bridge to the East Bay. As the suspects approached Interstate Highway 880, the driver struck another car but kept driving. He then hit the center divider but kept fleeing in the damaged car, police said.
They kept driving east on Highway 84, which eventually turns into Decoto Road. Near the intersection with Alvarado-Niles Road in Union City,the driver swerved into oncoming traffic and the officers stopped their pursuit, fearing that the suspects erratic driving could injure pedestrians or other drivers.
